Most of our clients are social enterprises, start-ups, small businesses as well as charities. A lot of them are impact-focused however that is not a prerequisite.

Social change is definitely at the heart of Impact Hub and you partner with over 60 organisations. Can you explain more about the different partnerships you have and their positive impact?

Definitely, we have the program side of the company which is actually a B-corp and we run a variety of programs that tackle different issues. We have a food-orientated program called Feeding the City which focuses on creating sustainable food-related businesses that benefit communities. We also have New Roots which is a mentoring program for local people from a Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic background interested in entrepreneurship.

How would you describe the vibe at this venue?

It is professional but still laid back. The two floors are great as they provide two different vibes. The upstairs is more for work whereas the downstairs is more chilled. I love that you can come downstairs for a cuppa and chat with people. We often have a snack and chat time where we get lots of food out and everyone can come down and hang out for an hour which is really sociable.

I love how the glass walls in your meeting rooms double up as a whiteboard, it is such a cool feature! What would you say your favorite feature is?

Personally, I just love the space and how open it is. In the summertime, we get tonnes of light coming through the glass ceiling which makes it seem even more spacious. The building used to be a car garage which is really weird and different. I think the fact that it isn’t your traditional office is a really unique selling point.

What is your favorite meeting room and why?

I would have to say the Boardroom. I love the wooden beams and how you can see out to the whole venue. It lends to the fact that this is a space where you can meet people and make connections.

The downstairs coworking space can also act as an event space. Do you have any exciting events coming up?

Yes! We usually host 3 events every week for members and then we also run external events as well. We have yoga classes which are led by Sally who used to be the community manager here. The class is donation based and 100% of profits will subsidise yoga and meditation classes for refugees and asylum seekers. Where are the best food and drinks spots nearby?

The Fellow, Simmons, and Mildreds are great local bars for after-work drinks. Happy Face Pizza is also one of our favorite lunch/dinner spots.
